The beginning

The journey is almost upon us.  In 1 week, Megan and I will be taking a 3 day journey to Dumaguete City in the Philippines.  For Megan, it will be her first trip to the other side of the world.  For me, it will be my first time in 25 years.  Time sure does fly.  It will be interesting to see the changes that have occurred after all these years.  I hope I don't sound too old to Megan when I start with my "I remember when ..." comments.


Our flight plan takes us through Detroit and Tokyo.  We will be spending the night in Manila before proceeding to Dumaguete.  A tiring 21 hour journey.


I would like to thank everyone who has made this journey possible.  It's amazing how God provides.  The gifts received covered all of our airfare (90% of the journey cost) with $48 left over.  A relative has chipped in to provide any additional incidental expenses. 


We have a very busy two weeks planned.  We are are heavily booked from the time we hit the ground in Dumaguete.  Pray for us, the team and for the people we will be serving.
